5 Tricks To Staying On Track With Your Diet/Habit
The New Year is here and with it the resolutions. And now we are in the midst of our new diets and habits... SOS!
This is the moment when reality sets in and you realize just how much you have actually signed up for... not just one week of meal prepping, not just one more run, and it isn't just one time that you wake up early to do your new sunrise yoga routine...THE REALITY is that to maintain your new habit, something needs to get easier or you are bound to give up...
This is why I became an online coach in the first place! I can help you reach your goals but more importantly, I can help you MAINTAIN your habits by offering you tried and tested advice! So let's jump right into it:
Remove Friction, making it easier to stick to your goals, to maintain a habit, and to consistently accomplish a task. BUT HOW?! There are many ways you can do this... You can put your gym clothes in front of your bedroom door to remind you to work out in the morning but also remove the requirements of having to pick out the gym clothes in the morning.
Add Friction to the things you want to stop doing or that are hindering you from accomplishing your current goals. This could be removing sweets from the house OR it could be moving your phone charging cable across your bedroom which forces you to not be using your phone while in bed.
Meal Prep in bulk for multiple days to save time that you can instead use to do other activities as well as relieving the stress of "what do I eat for lunch today?!".
Focus On The Protein because it is the most under-consumed of the nutrients our body requires. Each meal should include 20-30 grams of protein. Eat the protein in your meal first because it is satiating (makes you feel full) which will relieve urges you have to eat unhealthy food choices.
Don't Be Afraid To Ask For Help when you are just starting a diet and aren't sure how to meal prep, count calories, figure out how much or how little you should eat... That is why I am here, to help make it easier for you to do so and stick to your new diet or habit longer!
